Hikari ha hecho un nuevo amigo en el parque: Michiru, el hijo de un vecino un tanto peculiar que acaba de mudarse al barrio por circunstancias de la vida. Michiru, con su forma de ser introvertida, pero amable, enseguida hace buenas migas con Hikari. Masaki, tras enterarse de la historia de la familia, decide echarles una mano, pero son los niños quienes acaban dándole una lección a los adultos.
