En el período de la larga guerra civil en Japón, el territorio está dividido en distintas provincias con un régimen semi-independiente de gobierno, regidas por los señores feudales que se enfrentan unos a otros en una lucha interminable por el poder y conquistar territorios. Estos señores de la guerra se alzaron en todos los rincones del archipiélago, creando una situación de guerra continua. Algunos de los líderes que se enfrentaron fueron: Takeda Shingen y Sanada Yukimura en Kai, Uesugi Kenshin en Echigo, Azai Nagamasa en Oumi, Honda Tadakatsu y Tokugawa Ieyasu en Mikawa, etc. Peero, un hombre parece estar a solo un paso de establecer un control total sobre el país, el Sexto Rey Demonio, Oda Nobunaga de Owari. Sin embargo, aparece un nuevo personaje en el escenario del conflicto, Date Masamune, el ?Dragón de un solo Ojo?, un joven general de las provincias del Norte. Sus objetivos son claros, la cabeza de Oda Nobunaga y conseguir el control por el clan Date.
